Florida Man Destroys Walls with Trumpet; Claims Divine Intervention

Local residents left in shock after one-man band's apocalyptic performance

GAINESVILLE, FL — In an unprecedented display of musical prowess, a Florida man known only as "Josh" has reportedly brought down the city walls of Gainesville using nothing but a trumpet and the alleged assistance of divine intervention.

Witnesses say that the bizarre event began last Thursday when the self-proclaimed prophet, dressed in a robe and sandals, started marching around the city's perimeter. Over the course of seven days, Josh repeated his circuit, silently bearing his trumpet like a sacred relic.

On the seventh day, as a small but increasingly curious crowd had gathered to watch, the Florida man began to blow his trumpet with unrelenting intensity. To the astonishment of onlookers, the walls of the city began to crumble, reduced to rubble by the sheer force of his trumpet blasts.

"I couldn't believe it," said local resident Beverly Watkins, who witnessed the event from her front yard. "One minute I was watering my plants, and the next, the whole neighborhood was shaking like an earthquake. Then, the walls just came crashing down. It was like something out of a movie."

Josh, who claims to have been sent on a mission by God, insists that his trumpet skills alone could not have brought about such destruction. He maintains that he was merely a vessel for divine power, which was channeled through his trusty brass instrument.

"It's not me, it's the Big Guy upstairs," said the humble trumpeter. "I'm just doing what I was told. You wouldn't believe the sound that came out of this thing when I blew it. It was like Gabriel himself had descended and joined me in a duet."

Though experts are struggling to find a rational explanation for the event, some have speculated that a combination of subterranean geological activity and Josh's persistent vibrations may have weakened the walls' structural integrity. The city's engineers are investigating the matter, but have thus far offered no official statement.

In the meantime, Josh has become something of a local celebrity, with residents lining up to hear him perform, hoping for another miraculous act. For his part, the enigmatic musician remains focused on his spiritual mission.

"God told me to bring down the walls and bring the people together," said Josh. "Now that the walls are gone, it's time to spread a message of unity and love. And maybe teach some folks how to play the trumpet, too."

Authorities have yet to decide whether to charge Josh with any crimes, but many in the community argue that the destruction of city walls may have actually been a blessing in disguise. As one local put it, "You know, I never really liked those walls anyway. They were blocking my view of the sunset."
